MAC Systems telemetry options can read a wide range of soil moisture sensors, however over the past 20 plus years, we have worked closely with EnviroPro. We have found the probes to be extremely reliable and robust and the data is consistent and repeatable. The range of probe lengths :40cm, 80cm, 120cm and 160cm are suitable for most applications where soil moisture and soil temperature are required at 10cm increments. EC measurements are also available at an additional cost.

Single depth sensors are suitable for some applications where shallow measurement of soil moisture and temperature are adequate, however for applications where clients need to monitor the depth of wetting and drying within and below the root zone of their crops, the multi depth probe provides far more useful information.

With SDI-12 output, multiple probes can be monitored with the one telemetry unit where suitable. The 40cm probe is ideal for turf and shallow rooted crops. In most orchard, vineyard and cropping applications, we use the 80cm probe, however the 120 and 160cm probes are available for deeper profile monitoring.
