We have designed a spindle operated slide gate control unit for opening and closing irrigation slide gates. These units can either be fixed or portable. We can configure these units so that the slide gate spindle and motor and the telemetry control units can be moved or fixed, depending on the requirement of the user.

The motor control modules that we have developed allows users to set the opening and closing distances, calibrate the units and monitor the actual positions of the slide gates as distance in mm or as a percentage open/closed.

The mounting options may vary depending on the design of the slide gates. For clients that have varying outlet options, such as winch control bay outlets, pipe and riser outlets or slide gates, we can provide an automation solution that can be used on a range of outlet types, with modified mounting setups.

All our control options have been designed to allow for easy manual operation for the occasions when there may be a fault with the automation. We have designed our solutions to be fixed and/or portable.

We have not developed a timer – based solution as the cost for the telemetry control units are the same for an automated system, and most of our clients want the ability to set up irrigation schedules remotely, with the ability to remotely monitor the status of the equipment and progress of the schedules. Also receiving alerts if there are issues with equipment is very important to reduce the risk or over or underwatering.
